This is an ESP course for an EPE major.

Upon completing the course, you will have:

·        built ample vocabulary to navigate topics within the scope of your professional (EPE) interests

·        discussed various practical aspects of language use (pragmatic meaning) to distinguish between various extralinguistic situations and learn how to respond accordingly using language as an instrument

·        got acquainted with such linguistic concepts as collocations, register, polysemy, paraphrasing, euphemisms, puns (and more) and use these as building bricks for amplifying your linguistic competence (increased stylistic accuracy and appropriateness)

·        learned about native language interference on target language and used this for critical reflection on your performance (false friends of translator)

·        internalized some of the most relevant advanced grammar structures
