As we live in a world that places an increasing emphasis on the written word, it is of utmost importance to learn to write and present one's work persuasively. This class is designed to familiarize students with several genres of academic writing, to teach the essential strategies for conducting academic research, selecting and limiting a research topic, working with sources, responding to the arguments of the other side, integrating opinions of others into one's work, and more.
