Kenny Meesters has a background in Business Engineering and a master’s degree in both Information Management and Strategic Management from Tilburg University. Previously, he was a software developer and IT project manager for commercial firms. After several years he returned to Tilburg University as a researcher, working closely with international humanitarian organisations and local emergency services. Aside from his work as a researcher and lecturer, Kenny is also a trained member of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) and the United Nations Disaster Assessment & Coordination Teams (UNDAC) and regularly works with agencies and organisations to develop their information management capacities through training, advice and projects.
